I photographed this in 1996 when I was in the Berkshires to give a lecture.

Driving down the highway near Great Barrington, I saw this diner sitting on the island of a divided road, glowing in the darkness like a little Americana oasis. It was one of those moments where the picture seemed to be waiting for me. I knew right away it belonged in my Americana series.

That image later became the cover of my book American Mood, published in 2004, and it has since gone on to become a successful gallery edition print.

Now, for the first time, I’m offering it on RDO Editions as a collectible art poster, opening it up to newer collectors in a more accessible way.
